[ARCHIVED] NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING PASSAIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY CDBG Program

Notice is hereby given that Passaic County, NJ, in accordance with the Citizen Participation Plan, public meeting on February 11, 2022, at 1:00 pm, with both in-person and virtual options. The in-person meeting will be held at the Public Safety Academy, 300 Oldham Road Wayne, NJ 07470, Classroom 123.  The virtual link is:

The County is in the process of preparing the FY 2022 Annual Action Plan. The purpose of the meeting is to:

  1. Receive input on the needs of the County (outside the other HUD entitlement cities) that can be addressed with CDBG funds;
  2. Share information on how to complete the FY 2022 CDBG application to request funding, HUD rules and requirements governing CDBG funding 
  3. Review performance of the CDBG program.

 

Municipalities and Agencies wishing to request CDBG funding must submit their applications via email by 4:00 p.m. March 4, 2022.  The County intends to submit its application for FY 2022 funds to HUD on or about July 15, 2022.  The County anticipates that its FY 2022 CDBG Program allocation will be $850,000, but allocation figures are not yet known.  Funds may be allocated to projects in the twelve participating communities of the County: Bloomingdale, Haledon, Hawthorne, Little Falls, North Haledon, Pompton Lakes, Prospect Park, Ringwood, Totowa, Wanaque, West Milford and Woodland Park and to eligible non-profit agencies serving low income populations.
