Friends of Pompton Lakes Library

Friends of the Pompton Lakes Library celebrated the 105th Birthday of the Pompton Lakes Emanuel Einstein Public Library on Wednesday, April 19th. Members of the Friends of the Pompton Lakes Library group were in attendance at the celebration, along with Pompton Lakes Mayor Mike Serra, former Mayor Katie Cole, Anne Keating, President of the Pompton Lakes Library Board of Trustees, Councilmen Bill Baig, Frank Jaconetta, and Ekamon Venin, Director of the Library Michael Drazek, and President of the Friends of the Pompton Lakes Library Steve Edgeller. Many local residents were on hand to share in the celebration of this milestone for the Pompton Lakes Library.

“The establishment of a friends group in 2016 is really starting to take effect. And we’re really encouraged by the turn out for our events, including the 105th Birthday Party”, said Steve Edgeller.

The library has been a major part of the community since its donation to the Borough by Mrs. Emanuel Einstein in 1912. Today, in addition to the thousands of books available to borrow for free, the library provides numerous programs and services that cater to residents of all ages. More information about everything the library has to offer our community can be found here

The party was organized by the Friends of the Pompton Lakes Library, an independent non-profit volunteer organization working to further the educational and informational needs of the community through its support of the Emanuel Einstein Memorial Library, also known as The Pompton Lakes Library.
