How long does the whole variance process take?
The Board of Adjustment hearings are held the fourth Tuesday of every month. There is a 20 day deadline prior to that date in submitting your application. Should you receive approval for your project at that meeting, you will be required to wait until the following month's meeting when the resolution will be memorialized by the Board. There is an additional 45 day appeal period subsequent to this in which any interested party may appeal the decision of the Board; however, you may sign a waiver accepting responsibility should this happen.
